Cover Supervisor - Secondary School, Llanelli

About the role

Equal Teaching is recruiting enthusiastic, dependable and confident Cover Supervisors to support a partner secondary school in Llanelli. The work is on site, within the Teaching & Learning Support department, and suits people who are flexible, professional and enjoy working with young people.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes while teachers are absent
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
• Keep pupils on task and engaged
• Support a wide range of subjects across the curriculum
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders
• Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people (school, coaching, mentoring, youth work, etc.)
• Confidence managing a classroom
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A calm, professional and flexible approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to have one processed
• Right to work in the UK and currently based in the UK
