Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Part‑time)

About the role

Reeson Education is supporting a large mixed secondary school in Oxted that needs a part‑time Cover Supervisor from September 2026. You will manage a class of around 30 pupils, delivering pre‑planned work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and deliver lessons with limited preparation time.
• Maintain classroom standards and enforce the school’s behaviour policies fairly.
• Support students in building confidence through positive interaction, praise and encouragement.
• Assist with the development and implementation of SEN support plans.

Required profile

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in and knowledge of autism.
• Experience managing distressed behaviours and solving problems calmly.

Required skills

• Basic IT literacy with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
