Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Tottenham)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support a secondary school in Tottenham, North London. The role involves stepping into classrooms when teachers are absent, delivering pre‑planned lessons and maintaining a focused learning environment for students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a variety of subjects during teacher absence.
• Deliver lesson materials prepared by teaching staff.
• Maintain calm, productive classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support pupils to stay on task and achieve lesson objectives.
• Provide feedback to teachers after each session.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, coaching or mentoring.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence to lead groups of students independently.
• Positive, resilient and adaptable attitude.
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are especially encouraged to apply.
