About the role
We are looking for a reliable Cover Supervisor to step into secondary classrooms across a diverse academy in Waltham Forest. You will keep lessons running smoothly when teachers are absent, ensuring pupils stay engaged with pre‑prepared work and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre‑planned activities and keep students focused on learning objectives.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and manage any disruptions promptly.
- Follow the absent teacher’s instructions and lesson plans accurately.
- Support a safe and respectful classroom environment.
Required profile
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to cover a range of secondary subjects.
- Excellent communication and confidence when leading groups of students.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.

- Daily rate of £95‑£115.
