About the role
We are looking for reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Hackney. You will step in during short‑term teacher absences, delivering pre‑planned lessons and keeping students engaged.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver pre‑prepared lessons in the regular teacher’s absence.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure students stay on task and complete assigned work.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on progress and behaviour.
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Required profile
- Confident, proactive and adaptable.
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and classroom‑management abilities.
- Genuine interest in education.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
