Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools in Penrith

About the role

Veritas Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Penrith from September 2026. This position offers graduates, aspiring teachers and youth workers a chance to gain classroom experience without the pressure of lesson planning or marking.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences and deliver pre‑prepared lessons.
• Maintain student engagement and a positive learning environment.
• Support learning across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively.

Required profile

• Confident and capable of leading a classroom.
• Experience working with children or young people (desirable).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilient, adaptable and professional attitude.
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one (desirable).
