Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools (Leeds)

About the role
We are expanding our secondary cover teaching and supervisor supply team to meet growing demand across Leeds. As a Cover Teacher you will step into classrooms when the regular teacher is absent, delivering pre‑planned lessons and maintaining a productive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver pre‑planned work set by the class teacher, ensuring students complete tasks.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy.
- Leave the classroom tidy and ready for the next lesson, organising resources and workbooks.
- Report any behavioural, safeguarding or work‑related issues to the appropriate senior staff.
- Teach a range of secondary subjects, adapting to different curricula as needed.
Required profile
- Recently qualified (QTS) or currently completing QTS.
- Enthusiastic about gaining experience across multiple secondary subjects.
- Comfortable working in varied school settings and following established lesson plans.
