Creative Teacher (Post-16) – Macclesfield

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Creative Teacher to deliver Level 2 and Level 3 creative programmes for learners aged 16‑25 at our specialist post‑16 campus in Macclesfield. The role blends artistic instruction with employability, personal development and real‑world learning, supporting young people with SEND to thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality creative programmes across art, design, media and related subjects.
• Differentiate learning to meet a wide range of SEND needs.
• Assess learner progress, coursework and portfolios.
• Monitor Individual Learning Plan (ILP) targets and EHCP outcomes.
• Create engaging schemes of learning and project‑based activities.
• Support learners’ wellbeing, independence and personal development.
• Collaborate with Learning Support teams and external partners.
• Lead enrichment activities, trips and workshops.
• Contribute to safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, QTS, QTLS or equivalent).
• Qualification in a creative subject such as Art & Design, Creative Media, Photography, Fashion, Illustration or Graphic Design.
• Experience teaching in secondary, sixth form, further education, specialist SEND or alternative provision settings.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, autism or additional needs.
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• Passion for creative education and inclusive learning.
