Credit Control Manager – 3‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead a high‑value debt ledger for a well‑established business in Leeds. This 3‑month fixed‑term position offers the chance to shape credit strategy, manage a cross‑regional team, and drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of seven Credit Controllers across the UK and US.
• Set monthly collection targets and support the team to achieve them.
• Oversee a high‑value debt ledger, ensuring accurate cash receipt posting and daily allocations.
• Drive continuous improvement of credit control processes and systems.
• Perform credit checks for new customers and create ERP accounts.
• Proactively collect outstanding debt via telephone and email.
• Issue customer statements, resolve complex queries, and produce weekly/monthly debt updates for the CFO.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of credit control experience, including handling major customer accounts.
• Previous team management experience (desirable but not essential).
• Proactive, confident, and able to take ownership of the credit function.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
