Credit Control Manager

About the role

The Credit Control Manager will lead the credit control function, ensuring timely cash collection and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Customer Services, you will drive process improvements, manage a dedicated team, and safeguard the company’s cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the credit control team to meet collection targets and monthly KPIs.
• Develop and implement credit policies, procedures, and strategies to reduce debtor days.
• Collaborate with the Finance Director on process enhancements for collections.
• Maintain strategic partnerships with sales, customer service, and finance stakeholders.
• Monitor workload, address external influences, and proactively mitigate performance issues.
• Coach, train, and support team members through regular 1‑2‑1s, performance reviews, and well‑being initiatives.
• Oversee ledger assistance, month‑end processes, and bank reconciliations.
• Contact customers regarding overdue invoices, resolve disputes, and allocate payments accurately.
• Prepare and distribute monthly statements and manage aged debt over three months.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Credit Control Manager or in a similar supervisory role.
• Strong track record of improving cash flow and reducing aged debt.
• Ability to build trustful relationships across the organisation.
• Leadership mindset with a clear vision for team success.
