Credit Control Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control function within a growing organisation in South Lanarkshire. The role combines hands‑on leadership with strategic responsibility for cash‑flow optimisation and credit risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing Credit Control team.
• Drive cash collection performance and reduce debtor days (DSO).
• Manage customer credit risk, review credit limits and monitor high‑risk accounts.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and accelerate collections.
• Produce regular reporting on debt, cash collection and credit risk.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency of the Credit Control function.
• Support complex customer accounts and provide guidance to the wider team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable team.
• Solid understanding of credit risk and best practices in debt collection.
• Track record of improving cash collection performance and reducing aged debt.
• Strong coaching and people‑management abilities with a collaborative leadership style.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
