Credit Control Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Control Manager to lead a high‑volume, data‑driven credit control function within a supportive finance team. The role offers the freedom to shape processes, manage a small team and drive transformation projects while enjoying flexible and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of two experienced Credit Controllers.
• Drive the development and implementation of a new credit control platform.
• Handle customer excess disputes and support invoice adjustments.
• Oversee daily BACS postings across multiple remits.
• Reconcile accounts and support new account transitions and rate changes.
• Lead projects such as the rollout of HubSpot and workflow automation.
• Resolve complex account queries, including those that may lead to litigation.
• Build more efficient processes and support transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior credit control or collections role (e.g., Senior Credit Controller, Credit Manager, Collections Manager).
• Strong background in high‑volume, low‑value credit control environments.
• Demonstrated ability to upskill and motivate teams, preferably with transformation project experience.
• Down‑to‑earth, approachable style with excellent people‑management skills.
• Experience with QBE or equivalent credit insurance products.

Required skills

• Sage Intact.
• Intermediate Excel.

• BACS processing.
• QBE (or equivalent) experience.
