Credit Controller – 3‑Month Temporary Role

About the role

We are recruiting a Credit Controller on a three‑month temporary basis for a leading UK business operating in decarbonisation, district heating, energy generation and infrastructure. The role supports the finance team by managing customer accounts, collecting payments and reducing aged debt.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure payments are received according to agreed terms.
• Chase outstanding invoices via telephone, email and written correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve customer payment queries.
• Allocate cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts.
• Monitor aged debt, produce regular reports and maintain accurate account records.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve account discrepancies.
• Assist the finance team with general accounts receivable duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

What we offer

• £30,000 annual equivalent salary (£15.38 per hour) on a 37.5‑hour week.
