Credit Controller – 8 month FTC

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a well‑established distribution company in Stevenage on an eight‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The role involves managing invoice collections, handling customer queries and supporting the accounts receivable team to maintain healthy cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Collect invoices in line with agreed payment terms and process invoices, credit notes and RMAs accurately.
• Resolve customer queries promptly by liaising with internal teams.
• Raise manual invoices and credit notes, run credit checks for new accounts and re‑evaluate existing credit.
• Post daily cash receipts, allocate payments and manage credit card transactions.
• Send monthly customer statements and additional statements as required.
• Upload UKS entity invoices to the Invoice Financing Facility and to customer portals.
• Reconcile customer accounts and identify credit balances for escalation.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Accounts Receivable Team Leader.

Required profile

• 2–3 years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
• Proactive team player with a strong customer focus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good maths and English skills.
