Credit Controller (Dutch Speaking) – Full‑time

About the role

Our client is seeking a Dutch‑speaking Credit Controller to join their finance team on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role is office‑based in Colchester with the possibility of up to two days of remote work per week. It starts on 1 July 2026, working 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day) within an 8:00 am‑6:00 pm rota.

Key responsibilities

• Collect outstanding payments via email and telephone in line with agreed terms.
• Proactively chase aged debt using escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate debtor notes and account histories.
• Allocate payments and ensure accounts are reconciled.
• Set calendar reminders for follow‑ups, direct‑debit rejections and invoice raising.
• Respond to client emails within 2 hours and resolve queries promptly.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve account queries.
• Action Service Desk tickets daily and escalate overdue accounts when needed.
• Attend weekly debtor meetings and team training sessions.
• Provide cover for team members as required.

Required profile

• Fluent Dutch speaker (native or professional level).
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a professional telephone manner.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Highly organised, methodical and able to work independently.
• Team‑player who remains calm under pressure.
