Credit Controller – Hybrid (Chorley)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a small finance team in Chorley on a permanent basis. The role works on a hybrid model, combining home‑based tasks with regular office visits for meetings and collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the company ledger, chase outstanding debts and maintain accurate records.
- Build and sustain long‑lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to encourage timely payments.
- Handle customer order tracking, respond to queries, process payments and address legal requirements when necessary.
- Set and monitor credit limits in line with company policy.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of proven experience in a standalone credit control role.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer‑service focus.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Good understanding of legal requirements related to credit and debt management.
