Credit Controller – Industrial & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our client’s finance team in the South East. Working within an industrial and manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for maintaining healthy cash flow by managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage customer accounts to secure on‑time payments.
• Investigate and resolve payment queries and discrepancies.
• Perform credit checks for new and existing customers.
• Maintain accurate records of account balances and payment history.
• Reconcile accounts and produce regular financial reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to set credit limits and obtain approvals.
• Ensure adherence to company credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide support to the wider Accounting & Finance team as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit control or a related financial role.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks.
• Good understanding of financial processes and compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
