Credit Controller

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established organisation in North Cambridge to recruit a Credit Controller for their Accounts team. This full‑time, office‑based role will manage customer accounts, support cash flow and maintain positive client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Chase outstanding invoices by telephone, email and letter in line with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and monitor aged debt to identify overdue accounts.
• Investigate payment queries and collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice disputes.
• Assist in identifying accounts that may require legal action and support the collection process where appropriate.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients while providing timely account administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control or a customer‑service role with strong communication skills.
• Excellent organisational ability and the capacity to manage a varied workload effectively.
• Confident, professional and persistent when dealing with customers by telephone and email.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience of Sage is beneficial but not essential.
