About the role
This permanent, full‑time Credit Controller position sits within a small, friendly team reporting to the Credit Control Manager. You will join a well‑established business in Harpenden that values a family‑like culture and encourages professional development.
Key responsibilities
- Process new account applications and gather required information, including trade references.
- Obtain credit agency reports and conduct credit checks.
- Process bank receipts, allocate payments and reconcile accounts.
- Negotiate payment plans and chase overdue invoices.
- Prepare KPI and credit reporting for senior management.
Required profile
- Proactive attitude towards building skills and abilities.
- Excellent Excel proficiency.
- Experience creating reports on aged debt for senior management.
- Availability on short notice preferred, but the employer is willing to wait for the right candidate.
