Credit Controller

About the role

We are partnering with a recognised international business in Liverpool city centre to hire a Credit Controller on a permanent basis. In this role you will support the manager in timely collection of monies while building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Chase outstanding debt and manage your own key accounts.
• Monitor overdue payments and follow up by phone.
• Resolve customer queries and handle disputes efficiently.
• Build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of all credit control activity.
• Work with the wider team to ensure cash collection targets are met.
• Support month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Assist with additional projects as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a credit control position.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Accountability for your own output and willingness to support teammates.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• CICM study would be advantageous but not essential.
