Credit Controller – Sales Ledger Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Controller / Sales Ledger Administrator to join our finance team in an office‑based environment. You will be responsible for managing outstanding debt, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider accounts function.

Key responsibilities

• Chase overdue balances and maintain regular contact with customers.
• Post receipts to the sales ledger and nominal ledger.
• Upload invoices to customer portals and liaise on invoice queries.
• Check purchase ledger invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain the cashbook across sales and nominal ledger activity.
• File finance documentation and keep records organised.
• Support the wider accounts team with ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control, sales ledger or a similar transactional finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and confident communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Comfortable resolving invoice queries in a busy office environment.

• Salary up to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
