About the role
We are seeking a Credit Strategy Risk Manager to join NatWest on behalf of AMS Contingent. The role is based in Edinburgh and will operate on a hybrid model until the end of 2026. You will support the development and optimisation of credit strategies across lending products, portfolio management, and the customer lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain credit risk and decision‑support models aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Monitor portfolio credit risk, including provisions, impairments, risk‑weighted assets and associated costs.
- Ensure personal and private lending portfolios stay within risk appetite and regulatory frameworks.
- Analyse portfolio trends and deliver data‑driven insights for risk management and business decisions.
- Lead design, development and implementation of key credit risk and strategic change initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to influence customer management strategies, drive automation and provide constructive risk challenge.
Required profile
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience in banking and credit risk management.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements affecting credit portfolios.
- Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
