Crewing Coordinator

About the role

TSL Lighting is seeking a Crewing Coordinator to join its Basingstoke team. Reporting to the Crewing Supervisor, you will be the operational hub for allocating and booking labour across a wide range of live‑event productions, ensuring the right talent is in place at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate crew and labour to projects and productions.
• Book and schedule freelance subcontractors, raise purchase orders and distribute work schedules.
• Match subcontractor skills and rates to project requirements, avoiding over‑paying or skill gaps.
• Negotiate rates and terms with freelancers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of training, qualifications and insurance for all subcontractors.
• Appraise new subcontractor applications.
• Handle incoming telephone enquiries professionally.
• Coordinate in‑house production technicians, monitoring hours, shifts and breaks.
• Arrange hotel and transport bookings for crew and staff.
• Support operations with casual labour bookings for warehouse tasks.
• Investigate and resolve invoice‑to‑purchase‑order discrepancies.
