About the role
We are seeking an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor to join our specialist Criminal Law team in Nottingham. The role involves providing high‑quality, confidential advice and representation to private paying clients facing investigations or prosecutions by a range of authorities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload across multiple areas of criminal law, ensuring work meets the firm’s professional standards.
- Provide advice, preparation and representation at every stage of criminal matters, from investigation through to court.
- Conduct client meetings, maintain clear communication, and guide clients through their options.
- Utilise case management systems and IT tools efficiently to track matters and control costs.
- Travel to police stations and courts nationwide as required.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor with solid experience in criminal defence.
- Demonstrated ability to handle private paying clients and complex investigations.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion and client‑focused approach.
Required skills
- Proficiency with case management systems.
