Crisis and Recovery Practitioner

About the role

Creative Support Ltd, in partnership with Liverpool City Council, is launching a night‑time crisis prevention service for people experiencing mental‑health crises in Liverpool City Centre. As a Crisis and Recovery Practitioner you will work alongside the Crisis and Recovery Manager to lead a dedicated team that provides safe, de‑escalation‑focused support from 6 pm to 1 am, seven days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of Crisis and Recovery Workers, ensuring consistent service delivery.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the night‑time crisis service, monitoring performance against commissioning standards and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate records and meet monitoring requirements set by Creative Support and commissioners.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with external agencies, community groups, and other service providers.
• Oversee financial and contract management to ensure value for money.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing staff within a community‑based support or social‑care setting.
• Strong track record in performance, financial and contract management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fully IT literate with the ability to maintain accurate electronic records.
• Relevant social‑care qualification is desirable; essential experience in community‑based support.

• Proficiency with standard office IT systems (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
