Crisis Support Worker for Young People

About the role

Paragon Social Care is seeking compassionate individuals to join the team as Crisis Support Workers for children and young people. You will provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic care during critical moments, helping young people move forward with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Create a safe, stable, and supportive environment for children and young people in crisis.
• Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation and maintaining a tidy home.
• Encourage participation in education, hobbies, and community activities that promote growth and confidence.
• Support attendance at medical appointments and other community engagements.
• Use your own vehicle to transport young people when required.

Required profile

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and sleep‑ins.
• Full UK driving licence, access to a personal vehicle and business insurance.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK.
• Experience working with children or young people, paid or voluntary.
• Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
