CSCS Labourers – Night Shift on Severn Bridge Project

About the role

We are seeking four reliable, physically fit CSCS‑qualified labourers to join a high‑profile bridge refurbishment project on the Severn Bridge. The role is night‑time only (7 pm‑4 am) and runs for a fixed six‑week term, offering steady income and valuable experience on a landmark infrastructure site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist skilled civils operatives, structural engineers and site managers with bridge refurbishment tasks.
• Transport, load and unload heavy structural materials and safety equipment safely.
• Set up, move and maintain pedestrian and vehicle exclusion zones, including water barriers and signage.
• Operate hand and power tools (breakers, mixers, sweepers) under supervision.
• Maintain site housekeeping, clear debris and keep the work area hazard‑free in low‑light conditions.
• Follow strict health‑and‑safety protocols for work at height and over water.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS Card (must be presented before starting).
• Full night‑shift PPE: hi‑vis jacket & trousers, safety boots, hard hat, gloves.
• Previous experience on civils, highways or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Reliable transport to the Severn Bridge site (public transport unavailable during handover).
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors at night, including elevated marine environments.

Required skills

• Use of hand tools.
• Operation of power tools such as breakers, mixers and sweepers.
