Customer Account Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Account Administrator to join a specialist manufacturer of luxury digitally printed wallcoverings. Based in Leyland, this full‑time, office‑based position involves coordinating customer orders from enquiry through production to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer emails.
• Process and update customer orders accurately, checking specifications, quantities, prices and delivery details.
• Prepare quotations, order confirmations, invoices and delivery paperwork.
• Liaise with the factory, production and studio teams to monitor order progress.
• Keep customers informed of order status, expected delivery dates and any changes.
• Manage order amendments, handle complaints professionally and communicate production delays.
• Highlight urgent orders and priorities to relevant colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records using the Clarity workflow management system.
• Support the wider office team with general administration and assist in other areas during busy periods.

Required profile

• Previous administrative experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple live orders (up to 50) simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Clarity workflow management system.
• Experience processing orders and preparing related documentation.
• Effective telephone and email handling.
