Customer Assistant – Kitchen (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Customer Assistant to join our Morecambe club. The role is part‑time, offering 16 flexible hours across any of the seven days of the week, including evenings and weekends. You will work both on the shop floor and in the kitchen, providing excellent service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑class, personalised customer service to club members and visitors.
• Assist with front‑of‑house duties such as ticket sales, treasury, bar service and general housekeeping.
• Prepare and serve food in the kitchen, adhering to food‑safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the club, including toilets and public areas.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and follow basic numeracy procedures.
• Support the creation of a safe gambling environment for all customers.
• Carry out any additional tasks requested by the line manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably in hospitality, retail or leisure.
• Demonstrated kitchen experience and knowledge of food‑safety practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different situations.
• Confidence in handling cash and performing basic numeracy tasks.
• Willingness to challenge procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
