About the role

Join M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations, the behind‑the‑scenes powerhouse that keeps the store running smoothly. This physically demanding, high‑intensity role involves handling stock, managing deliveries and ensuring the shop floor is always ready for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process deliveries, checking accuracy and condition of goods.
• Maintain stock levels on the shop floor, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and tidy.
• Use digital tools to track deliveries and update inventory records.
• Support other store areas as needed, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
• Work flexibly across shifts, including evenings and unsocial hours where a premium applies.

Required profile

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable using digital devices for stock management.
• Team‑oriented with a flexible approach to shift patterns.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with digital stock‑tracking tools.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate with an additional £3.00 premium for hours worked between 22:00‑06:00.
