Customer Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed-Term)

About the role

Sainsbury's is hiring a part-time Customer Assistant for its Pound Lane store in Norwich (NR7 0SR) on a fixed-term assignment ending 2 January 2027. The rate is £13.23 per hour, for 12 hours per week. Shifts are planned within the availability window shown and shared three weeks in advance; the window covers Sunday to Saturday between 04:00 and 08:00.

Key responsibilities

• Put customers first with friendly, helpful service
• Help with filling shelves, picking orders, serving customers and selling products
• Use digital tools to do the job well and improve the customer experience
• Organise and move stock, keep shelves tidy and present, and move heavy loads to the right place
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to recommend them to customers

Required profile

• Above the school-leaving age in your country
• Right to work in the UK
• Age 18 or over if the shift window includes work before 6:00am or after 11:00pm
• Friendly, enthusiastic about helping customers and able to thrive in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Team player, flexible and open to learning new digital tools
