Customer Delivery Driver – Bar Hill

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, the Customer Delivery Driver meets customers in their homes, delivering groceries with a friendly smile. The role combines driving, handling orders, and providing a high level of customer service, with varied shifts and independent work supported by a local team.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean and organised to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely, perform all vehicle checks and maintain roadworthiness.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a courteous manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s chosen time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Enjoy interacting with customers and delivering a positive experience.

• Starting pay £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in certain locations.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
