Customer Delivery Driver – Cheltenham Superstore

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver customers’ groceries directly to their homes in Cheltenham. The role combines driving, customer interaction and a variety of physical tasks, offering a dynamic workday where no two shifts are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the delivery van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely, perform vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is road‑worthy.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner and process refunds when required.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver orders within the customer’s selected time slot, providing a warm, natural service at the doorstep.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm, welcoming and able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and be comfortable working independently on the road.
• Commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
