Customer Delivery Driver – Chester (Broughton)

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring groceries directly to customers' homes across the Chester area. The role combines driving, customer interaction and physical handling of orders, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely, perform pre‑trip checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s chosen time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Be warm, welcoming and responsive to changing customer needs.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.

What we offer

• Hourly pay starting at £14.18, rising to £15.45 in M25 stores.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
