Customer Delivery Driver – Colchester Hythe

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring groceries directly to customers' homes, providing friendly, reliable service. The role is hands‑on, physical and varied, with each shift offering new challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely and complete all pre‑delivery checks.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a courteous manner.
• Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s chosen time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm, welcoming and able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change while on the road.

• Starting pay £14.18 per hour (up to £15.45 in M25 stores).
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
