Customer Delivery Driver – Havant (Extra)

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver customers’ groceries directly to their homes in Havant and the surrounding area. The role combines driving, customer service and hands‑on handling of orders, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely, perform pre‑delivery checks and maintain roadworthiness.
• Communicate any order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s chosen time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be able to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues.
• Show a warm, welcoming attitude toward customers and teammates.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and operational demands.

• Pay starting at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
