Customer Delivery Driver – Poole (Extra)

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring customers’ groceries straight to their homes in Poole. The role combines driving, customer interaction and physical handling of orders, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely, perform vehicle checks and maintain roadworthiness.
• Communicate any order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner and process refunds when required.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s selected time slot, providing warm, courteous service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA full or automatic driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm, welcoming and able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and be comfortable working independently on the road.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly pay starting at £14.18, rising to £15.45 in certain locations.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
• 20 days holiday plus a personal day, increasing to 22 days after 12 months, plus Bank Holidays.
