Customer Service Advisor - Credit Cards

About the role

Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc, is looking for Customer Service Advisors to join its Credit Cards team in Glasgow. The role handles inbound calls covering simple purchase queries to complex questions about interest rates, guides customers to digital self-service options and plays a key part in resolving complaints. It is based in the city-centre office and offers 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1pm to 9pm.

Key responsibilities

• Provide resolutions for customer queries and issues, personalising each interaction through multiple communication channels.
• Respond to inquiries, resolve issues and handle client requests efficiently.
• Support collaboration with sales, operational and risk management teams so transactions are accurate and on time.
• Support business operations teams, including risk management, compliance and collections.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and internal customer care policies.
• Enhance the bank's digital capabilities when current technology is not yet ready.

Required profile

• Customer service experience; call centre, retail, hospitality or any customer-facing role is suitable.
• Strong communication and listening skills, with empathy and resilience for complex queries.
• Confidence using technology, from Microsoft Office to multiple systems at once.
• Office attendance during the probation period, then hybrid working two days a week.
• Ability to travel home from the city-centre office after a 9pm finish, when train and bus services may be limited.
