Customer Service Advisor - Weekends

About the role

Davies Group is seeking a part‑time Customer Service Advisor to work weekends on its Property team in Preston. You will join a friendly call‑centre environment, handling inbound calls from home‑emergency insurance customers and guiding them through the claims process.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from policyholders reporting home emergencies.
• Work to targets and KPIs while maintaining a professional telephone manner.
• Validate policyholder details, diagnose issues, and dispatch the appropriate trade contractor.
• Keep customers informed throughout the claim journey, from notification to resolution.
• Process excess policy payments, arrange boiler services, and negotiate with contractors.
• Multi‑skill across various insurance product lines as required.

Required profile

• Experience in a First Notification of Loss (FNOL) environment or as a claims handler is an advantage.
• Previous contact‑centre experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent telephone etiquette, strong customer‑service orientation and the ability to think quickly.
• High attention to detail and self‑motivation.
• Positive, confident approach with the ability to manage distressed customers tactfully.
