Customer Service Assistant – Retail

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Assistant to join our One Stop store. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, delivering friendly service and supporting daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent face‑to‑face customer service and encourage feedback through surveys.
• Operate tills, self‑service checkouts and handle age‑restricted product sales in line with policy.
• Stock shelves, replenish inventory, manage vending and online order pick‑ups.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe store environment, keeping aisles clear and following security procedures.
• Assist with seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Clock in/out accurately and follow all health, safety and training guidelines.
• Cover shift responsibilities in the absence of a Shift Leader or Store Manager when required.
• If the store includes a Post Office, perform post‑office duties after passing required background checks.
