Customer Service Coordinator

About the role

The Customer Service Coordinator will be the central hub for day‑to‑day operations at a leading ready‑mixed concrete supplier. Working in a busy office environment, you will handle a high volume of inbound phone calls, coordinate urgent concrete deliveries, and keep close contact with a fleet of drivers across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary telephone point of contact for customers and drivers.
• Schedule and adjust concrete deliveries, often on short notice.
• Manage driver queries, delays, and operational issues, including breakdowns and order changes.
• Maintain accurate order and delivery records.
• Liaise with the Vehicle Workshop Manager regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Build and sustain strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Strong customer service experience, preferably in a high‑call‑volume environment.
• Confidence handling large volumes of phone calls and making decisions under pressure.
• Calm, organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast‑moving setting.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn the geography of Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire quickly.
