About the role

We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join a well‑known retailer specialising in storage solutions near Chelmsford. The role involves handling a high volume of enquiries and complaints across a diverse product range, ensuring every interaction meets a high standard of service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer support via phone, email and live chat.
• Manage and resolve a high volume of customer complaints from initial contact to final resolution.
• Handle challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
• Process orders and enquiries accurately.
• Resolve delivery issues, including delays, damages and courier queries.
• Advise customers on a varied product range.
• Complete general administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Previous customer service experience in an online retail environment.
• Proven ability to handle complaints and difficult conversations.
• Comfortable managing high call volumes while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Experience dealing with couriers, damages and delivery delays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and good organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a driving licence due to the location.
