Customer Service Officer – Fluent Cantonese (6-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Officer who is fluent in Cantonese to join an international bank’s London branch on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports daily branch operations and delivers high‑quality service to both existing and new customers. The position is based in the heart of London and offers exposure to a fast‑paced retail banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cashiering duties, including cash handling, deposits and withdrawals.
• Assist with account opening and related documentation.
• Support all areas of branch operations, such as transaction processing and customer enquiries.
• Provide bilingual assistance to Cantonese‑speaking clients, ensuring clear communication and compliance with banking regulations.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone and in‑person, providing accurate information and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a smooth, efficient branch environment.

Required profile

• Fluency in Cantonese (essential).
• Proven retail banking experience, including cashiering and account opening.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Degree‑level education.
• Demonstrated ability to work accurately under pressure.
