Customer Service Representative - Leicester

About the role

Volvo Group is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) / Service Advisor to join its busy Volvo Truck and Bus team in Leicester. You will be the key link between customers, workshop technicians and the parts team, making sure vehicles are booked in, repaired efficiently and returned with minimal disruption to customers' businesses. The shift pattern is rotating weekly, covering 06:00 to 14:00, 10:00 to 18:00 and Saturday mornings.

Key responsibilities

• Deal with customers by phone, email and face to face
• Book commercial vehicles into the workshop for servicing, repairs and inspections
• Prepare job cards and communicate customer requirements clearly to technicians
• Give customers regular updates on vehicle progress
• Prepare estimates and obtain customer authorisation for additional work
• Liaise with technicians and parts colleagues so jobs progress efficiently
• Keep customers informed of costs, timescales and completion dates
• Invoice completed work and ensure documentation is accurate
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally

Required profile

• Ideally experience in a Service Advisor, Customer Service, Aftersales or Workshop environment, preferably in commercial vehicles, HGVs, trucks or automotive
• Customer-focused, organised and able to manage several jobs at once
• Comfortable discussing vehicle repairs, costs and timescales
• Calm and professional under pressure, with a positive team attitude
• Commercial vehicle or HGV experience is highly advantageous; strong automotive Service Advisors with transferable skills will also be considered

Required skills

• IT literate and confident using workshop and service management systems
• Good attention to detail and commercial awareness
