Customer Solutions Engineer – Lifts & Escalators

About the role

The Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE) provides technical support to the sales team, developing, selling and implementing KONE lift and escalator solutions that meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the sales team by analysing customer technical needs and preparing proposals, specifications, CAD and layout drawings.
• Provide technical and costing support throughout the sales process, coordinating with supply lines, subcontractors and ensuring compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct site surveys, organise order documentation, manage material specifications and purchasing, and oversee project hand‑over to operations.

Required profile

• Engineering or technical background (Diploma/Degree in mechanical engineering preferred) or equivalent lift/escalator experience.
• Strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and ability to work with architects, contractors and owners.
• Previous experience in the elevator/escalator industry and capability to survey existing equipment.
• Enthusiastic about engineering, detail‑oriented and holds a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Basic AutoCAD proficiency.
• Revit and Navisworks experience (desirable).
• Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.
