Customer Support Advisor – Altrincham (Full‑time)

About the role

This is a permanent, fully office‑based role in Altrincham, working Monday‑Friday, handling high‑volume telephone enquiries, primarily from older customers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls each day.
• Speak with new enquiries, understand each customer's individual circumstances and explain the company's service clearly and patiently.
• Support older customers who may need additional reassurance or time on the telephone.
• Qualify enquiries and book appointments with the Claims Team.
• Maintain contact with existing customers throughout their journey.
• Keep customer information and CRM records accurate and up to date.
• Deliver excellent service without using a hard‑sell approach.

Required profile

• Confident on the phone, comfortable working at pace and able to build trust quickly.
• Patient, compassionate and genuinely good with people.
• Previous experience in a telephone‑based customer service, call handling, contact centre or similar role preferred.
• Strong telephone manner with the ability to explain information clearly and simply.
• Experience speaking with older customers is essential.
• Experience within insurance, financial services, healthcare or another customer‑focused environment is advantageous but not essential.
