Cyber Incident Response & Digital Forensics Assistant Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Manager in Cyber Incident Response & Digital Forensics you will join KPMG’s Cyber Response Services team, supporting a wide range of clients across the UK. The role is hands‑on, involving rapid response to security incidents, forensic investigations and advice on emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute incident response activities for client cyber‑security events, including on‑call duties.
• Perform digital forensics on disks, volatile memory, network packets and log files to uncover evidence.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the cyber‑threat landscape and provide actionable intelligence to clients.
• Engage with clients to deliver findings, recommend remediation and manage project issues.
• Prepare well‑structured responses to bids and request‑for‑proposal documents.

Required profile

• Broad understanding of the cyber‑security threat landscape.
• Strong technical background in computers, networks and programming.
• Proven experience handling cyber‑security incidents and response measures.
• Good knowledge of information‑security methodologies, principles and technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
