Cyber Security Engineer – Automotive Platforms

About the role

AXISCADES is seeking a senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its platform team. You will be responsible for implementing and operating security controls across automotive platforms and electronic control units (ECUs). The role focuses on hardening Linux, QNX and Android based systems used in advanced manufacturing and defence sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, configure and maintain platform‑level security mechanisms such as firewalls, network filtering and access control (DAC/MAC).
• Support secure software development, integration and testing across multiple operating systems (QNX, Linux, Android, AUTOSAR).
• Develop and maintain security‑related tooling, scripts and automation using Shell, Python and C/C++.
• Configure secure boot, secure update and key‑management mechanisms at the platform level.
• Assist with diagnostics, debugging and secure use of debug interfaces and logs.
• Participate in vulnerability assessment, issue remediation and security verification activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Cyber Security or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in cyber security or secure software engineering.
• Strong practical experience with Linux, QNX and/or Android embedded systems.
• Proven experience in automotive or embedded platforms.
