Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Redgate is looking for a hands‑on Cyber Security Engineer to design, build and operate security controls that protect our people, products and customers. You will work closely with engineering, business and commercial teams to ensure secure delivery of our data‑management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate security controls across cloud and on‑premise infrastructure and applications.
• Investigate security incidents hands‑on, including after‑hours work when critical.
• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to enable secure product delivery.
• Partner with commercial teams to give customers confidence in deploying Redgate products securely.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in security engineering or security operations.
• Strong IAM knowledge at protocol level (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC) with practical debugging experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and automation.
• Familiarity with secure SDLC practices, version control and peer review.
• Experience conducting vendor security reviews and third‑party risk assessments.
• Practical vulnerability management and incident‑response experience, including root‑cause analysis.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender and KQL.
• Background in system administration or engineering that provides intuition for system failures.
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work and strong communication skills.
