Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Redgate is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to design, build and operate security controls that protect its people, products and customers. The role sits within a hands‑on security team working across cloud and physical infrastructure, collaborating with development and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate security controls across infrastructure and applications.
• Investigate and resolve security incidents, including after‑hours support when critical.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to enable secure delivery of services.
• Work with commercial teams to assure customers of secure product deployment.
• Conduct vendor security reviews and third‑party risk assessments.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in security engineering or security operations.
• Strong knowledge of IAM protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC) with practical debugging experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and automation.
• Familiarity with secure SDLC practices, version control and peer review processes.
• Practical vulnerability management and incident response experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender and KQL.
• Background in system administration or engineering providing intuition for system failures.
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work and strong communication skills.
